Jeb Bush took a swipe at President Trump by saying that his children don’t love him…but it didn’t end well for him.

According to The Hill, here is what the failed Presidential candidate said:

Jeb Bush took a swipe at President Trump during a talk at Yale University Tuesday, saying he goes home every day to children “who actually love me.”

Bush made the comments during a lecture titled “A Conversation with Jeb Bush: Restoring Conservatism in America.” The talk was sponsored by Yale’s The William F. Buckley Jr. Program.

Once Trump’s kids saw this sad remark, they didn’t hold back at all.

Eric Trump took a lighter approach with this simple tweet:

“Jeb Bush, I actually love my father very much. #pleaseclap”, he tweeted. The “please clap” reference is when Jeb Bush couldn’t get his audience excited, so he pathetically ASKED them to clap for him.

However, Don Jr. was MUCH more aggressive with his response:

“Jeb! I love everything about my father. I love that he’s a fighter, I love that he has guts, I love that he’s President (all those things you’re not) Also love that he learned enough about politics in a few weeks to dismantle you piece by piece despite it being your life’s work”, tweeted Don Jr.

The rest of twitter also mercilessly mocked him:

In case you forgot, here is the moment that Jeb Bush had to ask his audience to clap for him:
