The Washington Post reports: President Trump said Thursday that the opioid epidemic — which is killing more than 100 people each day — is the “worst drug crisis in American history” and said his administration is declaring it a public health emergency, pledging the nation’s full resolve in overcoming it. “Addressing it will require all of our effort, and it will require us to confront the crisis in all of its very real complexity,” Trump said during a speech in the East Room of the White House, where he was joined by first lady Melania Trump and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R), chairman of a presidential commission on combating the crisis. “As Americans, we cannot allow this to continue,” Trump said. “It is time to liberate our communities from the scourge of drug addiction. We can be the generation that ends the opioid epidemic. We can do it.” CLICK THE VIDEO BELOW FOR FULL REPORT:

  1. I am in. I want to offer the D.A.R.E. program comeback for Schools everywhere. It teaches the facts of Drug addiction and what happens when you are arrested for illegal use and possession. I will use a Narcotics officer, videos of drug addicts, dealers, and inmates testimony. Time to wake up the children so later in life they do not chose the wrong path. D.A.R.E is the program that was working until the DNC decided to remove it . We need to work with programs that are proven successful. My children one had the D.A.R.E. program and never even tried drugs. The other born 13 years later tested my patients, Thank God we made it through, because they had taken the program out of schools.
